50 per cent of Czechs are of the opinion that the Czech Republic should not be receiving refugees from countries affected by war. 40 per cent of Czechs think that such refugees should be accepted temporarily until they are able to return home. Only 4 per cent of Czechs are of the opinion that the Czech Republic should accept the refugees permanently.
In September 2015, 69 per cent of Czech citizens above 15 years of age were against accepting refugees and migrants from the Middle East and from Africa. 49 per cent of Czech citizens were against accepting some refugees from Ukraine.
62 per cent of Slovaks and 38 per cent of Poles were against accepting refugees from war-torn countries.
The Czech polling agency CVVM interviewed 994 Czech respondents above 15 years of age. In Slovakia, 1003 Slovak respondents above 18 years of age were interviewed, in Poland 1040 respondents above 18 years of age were interviewed.
